Albin 27 Owners Club

Say Hello to the new Albin 27 Owners Club.

Welcome to a dedicated website and club for the Albin 27 boat. Now there’s space where how-to and technical information can be kept regarding these boats. To maintain focus, the club and website is only for the Albin 27. This site is not meant to compete with the Albin Owners Association or the Albin 25/27 Facebook Group. Each internet site has its own purpose and things it does well. The new Albin 27 Owners Group will bridge the gap and remain permanent, allowing those other sites to do what they do best, or perhaps change, or even close down over time.

Tired of Working on Your Albin 27 Alone?

Imagine attending a virtual workshop where Club Members share information regarding thier Albin 27 boat projects, upgrades, or equipment. It’s part social, part technical workshop, part Affirmation. You are not alone! In this day and age when we can’t meet in person, why not let technology bring us together so we can share our experience. Topics for workshops are proposed and coordinated by members. Workshops are scheduled at least twice a year.

WELCOME TO THE Albin 27 Owners Club

The Albin 27 was manufactured in the New England area of the United States from approximately 1983 to 1992. There were reportedly 500-600 of these boats manufactured. The Albin 27 boat came in two configurations: Family Cruiser and Sport (no aft cabin). From the factory the Albin 27 reportedly weighed approximately 6,500 pounds. The Albin 27 is unique in that it represents an unusual compromise between “trailerability”, “cruising livability”, and performance. The Albin 27 presents itself as a true pocket trawler.

The Albin 27 FC may be one of the only trailerable production rear cabin cruisers still available in the sub 30ft range. The rear cabin alone represents an unusual configuration ideally suited for cruising with adults and children since a couple can sleep in either the forward or aft cabin, and send the kids to stay in the opposite end of the boat. In addition, when powered with a diesel inboard, the boat is extremely fuel efficient for displacement cruising at hull speed. Albin 27’s are a desired and much sought after pocket cruiser, with a strong owner support network and diehard following.
